Brian Powell - Radnor Duo

Hello, my name is Brian Powell.

I am professor of Double Bass and String Pedagogy at the Frost School of Music, at the University of Miami.

Having performed with several professional orchestras and musicians over the past 15 years, it has become clear to me that today‘s musicians not only need to be highly specialized in what they do, but they also have to be adaptable and able to integrate other skill sets that are compatible with their performing interests.

With my students at Frost, I help them identify their passions, their gifts, their aspirations. Then, we work together every week implementing a plan that equips them to have the opportunity to realize their goals.
